In my longest-lasting project so far (mid 2019 until late 2020), I have built two portable bluetooth speakers, with one improving upon the other. In the end, I managed to achieve all of my project goals: Loudness, good audio quality, long battery runtime, and good looks.
The smaller BlockBox v1, on the left, was the first one I built, fully hand-made.
Based on what I learned with this first version, and what I did and didn’t like about it, I built the much bigger BlockBox v2 – this time with a bit of CNC machining as well.
When I have the time, I will, of course, create a full series of documentation posts about this project. Until then, enjoy the pictures!
